48-HOURS VIRTUAL BIM COMPETITION
Introduction
The 48-hours online BIM (Building Information Modelling) Competition 2012 is organised by the Building and Construction Authority, in conjunction with the Singapore Construction Productivity Week 2012 . Both the industry and education categories are open to all Singapore registered building & construction related firms and the institutes of higher learning, with NOT more than 10 members in each participating team (including the team leader). All the participating teams will be competing with one another on a virtual environment.

Qualifications/Criteria: |
1. ONLY open to ALL Singapore registered building & construction related firms and institutes of higher learning.2. Staffs from any BIM related software vendor/reseller/training centre/service bureau are NOT allowed to participate.3. There is NO limit in the number of participating team formed by each firm/ institute of higher learning.4. Maximum NOT MORE THAN 10 members for each participating team (including the team leader).5. Local industry practitioners, schools’ students or lecturers are encouraged to form team in the relevant sub-category above. |

Things to Note: |
1. Mass briefing to all participating teams will be held in April 2012.2. All participating teams will only receive the final design criteria and information online concurrently on the 1st day of competition – 8 May 2012, 9am sharp.3. Final judging would be held at Marina Bay Sands during the Singapore Construction Productivity Week, on 15 & 16 May 2012. Each team would do a 15-mins presentation (including Q&A) to the distinguished judging panels publicly at Marina Bay Sands.
